If you mess up styling your hair, andgel's already dry, should you wet it lightly

with gel or wash old gel out? and start over?

Start over & rewash hair, then apply gel again?
or wet hair, and add more gel?
which way should I "re-style"

Thick, black, short, wavy hair if that matters. Gratzi.
