Im 26 years old, am I too old to go backpacking in youth hostels?

Hey guys, Im 26 years, old and due to work commitments I havent had the chance to travel and do the young thing at all, Now I am at the stage where I am worried I may miss out on the opportunity and "be young"

I would love to travel through America and Canada in hostels with other young people, or would I be too old?

I appreciate all the help you can give, cheers.
