I'm addicted to eating ice cubes in any form, I crave them; What is wrong with me?

When I say I'm addicted to ice cubes, I MEAN it! I crave the flavor of the ice even though I know it doesn't make sense. It's just water! It doesn't really have a flavor to other people supposedly, but I crave the flavor and feel and crunch of the ice every single day!!

I know the general assumption that it may indicate I have a iron deficiency but since I've expressed my concern to two different doctors, neither have said an iron deficiency was present after having blood work done. I asked after having general blood work done, so is there a specific blood test that is needed to determine an iron deficiency? And is it that the ice-eating is cause by the anemia or is the anemia caused by the ice-eating? It doesn't seem to make sense if it was the latter, but some people have said that to me. Why would eating water give you an iron deficiency?!

Someone please help? I'd really appreciate professional opinions and actual responses to the questions I asked within the paragraphs above. Especially about the specific blood tests.. Thanks in advance! I will vote for best answer!
