I am thinking about being a truck driver as a last resort if the program I'm in now at school doesn't get good results. I'm 24 with an excellent driving record. No speeding tickets or traffic violations except for a minor rear end collision, when I was a teenager, that didn't cause any damage, and which I took a class that cleared the points off my license. I don't know how to get started. The best schools to go to or the best trucking companies that offers free training. I am a good driver and know how to drive both manual and automatic cars, but I do have a fear of being behind the wheel and watching out for other drivers. I have confidence myself, but other drivers make stupid mistakes, and I don't want to end up in a serious accident. If you are a trucker or know anything about the industry, can you send me in the right direction?
