...need suggestions, please? The path one takes in becoming a physician is a long undertaking. Medicine is a profession that requires lifelong learning and the commitment to helping others. Many important decisions line the journey to becoming a physician. Medical school is only the first step in learning how to become a competent physician. A physician must possess the drive and personal attributes that prepares one for the many encounters and rigors within a life of medicine. Leadership, dedication, passion, and especially a caring personality, are a few of the qualities that enables a physician to excel in his or her field. My family, friends, and mentors fuel my drive to be a leader in medicine. They are the people who helped transform my ambition to become a physician into a realistic goal.
