i have two, and i live in northern california. well, its getting really cold at night.in the 20's! tonight its suppose to be 25. i want to bring my cats inside since they r outdoor cats but my parents dont at all. but they'll let my golden retriever in? one of my cats is like, 11 years old.

what should i do? isn't that too cold?

If your parents don't want the cats inside, I'm afraid there's nothing you can do.

I'm assuming they've been outside during a winter before, because of their age- cats are very good at finding places to go that are warmer than just being outside, and they do also have a fur coat.

It's a catch 22 situation, but it's up to your parents- if they don't want your cats in, they don't want your cats in. This situation should have been considered before the animals were purchased.

That's why they have fur, they'll be okay they will find a way to get warm. That's what it's for mainly to keep them from the cold. I had my cat for 13 yrs and she was an outside cat and she was just fine in 20 degree weather.

Are your cat's friendly, I am lucky enough to own 1 VERY friendly indoor cat. I have another more hunting cat too. I let my friendly cat sleep on my bed while I sleep, so my 'hunter' cat is shivering, meowing at me. I pick her up and place her beside her sister, naturally they 'hug' like they did when they were kittens. Cats most of the time can be warm, but if you have to, sneak your cat in.

They can bear these climates god has created them in that way to live in outdoor...

my parents wouldnt let me bring in my cats either but mine were always fine they would usually just cuddle up together outside in a box. Some cats actually like it cold...my cats liked to play in the snow.
