Where do you live? I recommend going to a Bevmo (Beverages and More) or a Raleys/Belair and tasting the wine before you buy it. If you live anywhere near a winery, just drive to a winery and taste before you. Doesn't matter what anyone, even wine experts, say. My advice: buy what tastes good to you.
 
A nice fruity shiraz from australia or south africa!! (mmmm my favourite!) Goes really well with crumbly white cheese and green olives, and italian plum tomatoes!
