i'm having a technical problem with my nintendo ds, help and suggestions please?

alright so i've had my nintendo ds for about 3-4 years now. earlier this year a piece must of come off on the top of it and it doesn't want to stay open now so i always have to hold it up. now im experiencing a worse problem. if i dont hold the screen the right way, the top screen goes completely white and i cant see anything. heres a video of my problem so you can see what im talking about

is my nintendo ds going? is this something that can be fixed? really need help and suggestions. i would be sooooo greatful!
