The only thing I can think of that may be causing this to happen, is that you're player needs a firmware update. If you don't know how to do this, check your manual and it will explain how. Also, you can go to sony.com, and find your blu-ray player and there should be a help section that will show you details on how to upgrade the firmware (it updates software on the machine to make it run the best possible).
