[QUOTE="sunshinegirl, post: 1992239, member: 92813"] esteem. Any advice? Basically there are a bunch of loser girls in my batch (11 of them). They are the really b*tchy, nosey, group-oriented, ostracizing type. I had an argument with 2 of them last year. So they kind all their friends against me. If I go near them in class or assembly, they will all get up and go away from me and make sneering remarks. If I do anything small, or trip over etc., they will start huge rumors and stuff about it. For the past one year, whenever we walk past each other, they'd all give me nasty stares, sarcastic comments (e.g. "oh your face is soooo bright today isn't it"; "you have soooo many friends giving you company there"). I didn't used to say anything back. I just used to keep my head down and walk past, trying to ignore them. I felt like crying on the inside. I used to cry when I go back home. I've noticed that being quiet just helps them to sink my self-confidence even more. Now, when they walk past, I'm trying to be brave, confident, and smooth. Like, I will look them back in the face, and smile back (even though they will laugh and say things like "ooo she's trying to be cool with us now"). I'm having real difficulty confronting them. And they just won't leave me alone, and it's very hard to provide evidence for this sort of thing. The other day, when I stared back at one of them, she came over with a mean look and shouted "what are you looking at". I felt scared, and felt my throat go hard. I wasn't able to talk back. So help me with this: If they confront me, and say nasty things to me in front of my face, how should I talk back? What sort of things can I say back? How can I stop myself from being scared?
