I'm in a tough situation here....?

Hi. I'm 11 and haven't seen my dad since I was 4 r 5. They were divorced when I was around 18 months old and then he drove me home from his house when he had drank too much. I forgive him, but I don't think my mom does. But I have seen her emailing him. I recently signed up for Ancestry.com and saw an ancestry hint, turns out my dad is on there. I asked my mom if I could email him but my mom says no. Should I email him anyway? I really miss him and want my mom to be with him again.

Considering the age in which you are that you have made your mind to take up such efforts this is a welcome effort no doubt about that. I have incidentally come across such unfortunate incidents. Maybe she thinks you are too young to think on making the lost relations to be on again. Have you told her that you know she has been mailing him and that she is in contact with your dad. I guess as we all hope time is the best healer your efforts might pay dividends as both of them are reciprocating according to your statements. All the best hope they reunite soon.
