I don't think toe rings look good on anybody. People don't notice feet that often, and toes aren't something to be stared at, even with a pretty ring on them. Also, don't force him to wear it; don't hide behind the "if you love me you'll wear it", he'll just respond with "if you really love me you'd let me wear what I want".
