If you get the proper equipment and install it correctly you should be good On a 6" lift you will need more than just one or the stock shock absorber per wheel,to provide proper ride stabilization.Also adding more brackets to mount additional shocks will distribute the stress caused by suspension travel.Now as far as what your friend said about parts going out soon ,that true only if you skimp on quality,also if you use multiple shock setup that will the lengthen the life the shocks,bushings,brackets,etc.tear and wear is always a factor .I suggest RanchoSuspension.com or trailmaster.com and be sure to use polyurathane bushings and and never use the nuts and bolts twice because most threads crush after the first use, especially under high stress applications. youll be alright. good luck and happy trails.!

...offroading,how will this effect mytruck? my trucks a 2001 f150 2wd!a friend told me parts are going to start going out soon after its intalled is this true?its not like im going to go mud riding twice a week!
