a recipe I like? I'm not looking for recipes (but if you have any good ones I'll definitely write them down and appreciate it) but looking for the idea behind creating my own. Like what basic knowledge do I need to have to bake?

I just used a recipe and altered it to add what I wanted and it didn't turn out at all like I had hoped. I was supposed to use 3/4 of a cup of honey but I altered the recipe (adding more nuts and whey protein powder) that using 1 cup of honey made it too sweet and it still wasn't sticking together so I added some regular peanut butter (had I known a cup of honey wouldn't have been enough I would have bought all natural peanut butter at the store).

Ideally in my bars I would have dried fruit (cranberries, bananas), almonds, walnuts, protein powder and oats.
