Im trying to get a digital camera. Should i care about the shutter speed...

...or megapixals? the two im looking at is the sony Cyber-shot DSC-W300 or the Canon Powershot SD990-IS. The sony is faster and has a faster iso and shutter speed, but the canon has more megpixals and a little bigger zoom. The canon is also 40 dollars more but the sdhc card is cheaper than the memory stick dou. ive tried to decide but cant. Help!!
their is only a 1 megapixal diference is 40 dollars worth it?
