I'm working towards writing an epic novel and it's theme is Science-Fiction/Fantasy/Adventure/Mecha(… you don't know what Mecha is then think giant fighting robot and Anime). The story is geared towards teenagers and certain adults.
The overall plot of this story is plain and simple; children of imperial family fight to become God-Emperor/Empress of the god world and the universe. The only problem that they were killed in a violent massacre of a war and are reincarnate in the distant future(and yes still have to fight for the crown in their new life regardless or their will be no heir and evil could prevail) The villain's main goal is to become the God-Emperor and recreate the world in his image( which would be evil). The reborn children must stop him and only one can take the throne, now the chosen hero of this story is name the Enlighten Messiah of Salvation and he or she is the destiny that innocence need( it's possibly that person can take the crown if he or she serves justice). Pretty much the God-Emperor wants to see who is able to take the throne by saving the universe from destruction( which seems like a lot of work). They must help the world by making smalls positive change step by step and see if they have what it take to be a true god, also a great ruler of a vast empire.
Even gods have it rough and can be busy people. Though it may suck that the children will have to fight against each other to get the crown, but that is how it works in the kind of family.
Does this sound cliche or it is far from that?
Is this something you wouldn't read or would like to read?
Is there anything in the plot that needs work or not at all?
