Imovie 09 is acting funny and buggy, what's wrong?

Yesterday, I was looking around and i found a setting called show advanced tools in the Imovie->preferences. I found a little tutorial on Youtube and i decided to try it out. When i was trying it out, imovie 09 became a little laggy, so I decided to turn it off. I used picture on picture and that's it about 4 times on different clips. Now when i turn on imovie it opens slow and my project screen is usually grey for a while then my clips come out but i cant scroll up or down or drag anything. I can't click Project Library or edit my video. Can anybody help?
This project is due tuesday so i reallly need help!
 
Maybe your computer needs some more RAM.
I just bought some from http://www.crucial.com

You could also bring it into your local Apple store.
