I curently have a pair of male guinea pigs, I paired these myself and got them bonded. this all happened very fast. I put them on neutral territory for about 20 mins. they seemed very happy. they have been living in harmony for about a month and a half 2 months now.

in 3 weeks I am introducing yet another guinea pig male (my guinea pig had babies, one boy and 2 girls, this was 2 days ago)

I am going to put all 3 on neutral territory. see how it goes for a while, clean the cage with vinegar and watch what happens. If they cuddle up to eachother and clean eachother, then they will keep
together the night. this baby is my oldest male piggies son by he way.

Is this a good idea? of course if they don't get on at first then I will keep trying.

thanks
my eldest male guinea pig (the dad to the one i am introducing) is very placid, and calm, he will relax with me allot he is 1 year 7 months.

the other one is about 3 months old, he is a bit more playful and a bit more lively. they are both very happy together sometimes, I may hear a tiny squeak which usually happens when the eldest is sleeping and the younger one comes in and wakes him up and usually stands on him Lol.

the baby I will introduce will be around 3 weeks old. unless i keep him in a spare cage till 4 weeks. which was the cage of my other male that i introduced when i got them paired
There is a large age difference between my pair now. a year and 3 months.
it will be a year and 5 months with this boy.
