Message: <blockquote data-quote="JohnM" data-source="post: 2578751" data-attributes="member: 209445"><p>The crosswalk is for pedestrians the same as the sidewalk.  You are moving much faster on a bike then anyone walking any drivers do not expect you to be there.  I don't know how many times I almost ran into some kid flying down the sidewalk going against traffic.  They see you stopped and think it safe to cross on the crosswalk.  You look for pedestrians that usually stop at corners you don't expect some one on a bike.</p></blockquote><p></p>
