In music, do melodic intervals correspond to specific colors?

First) I know Pythagoras believed that each note in a scale (P1, m2, M2, m3, M3, P4, T, P5, m6, M6, m7, M7 P8 --> not to be confused with just pitch class: ex Ab, A, Bb, B, C, Db, D, Eb, E, F, Gb, G) corresponded to a color, emotion, and even a planet...
He is the father of music theory, but none of his writings survived (to my knowledge)
Does this idea have legitimacy?

Second) I know for sure that colors correspond to emotions as it clearly states this in a psychology book i read.

Third) I know for sure that different notes fit into the scale in a similar way, where some notes sound better against the tonic than others (depending on the rate of vibration between the tonic and a second note)

Do the two concepts of using color to represent emotion and using music to represent emotion meet?

Lastly) I've heard of people who are born with "wires" crossed in their brains so they actually have the ability to see music. Also, i've never tried, but i've heard people who have done acid describe similar experiences...
