In regards to Obama's speech - did anyone pick up on the sharing of "wealth that...
...opens markets"? "This is the moment when we must build on the wealth that opens markets, and SHARE its benefits more EQUITABLY." Barack Obama 7/24/08 in Berlin
Capital - material wealth used or available for use in the production of more wealth (used to open markets).
Equity - the concept or idea of fairness in economics, particularly as to taxation or welfare economics.
And this guy has no Socialist leanings?
inappropriatus - Gates acts out of the kindness of his heart, not because he is mandated to do so by the State.
Vince - I don't think Obama cares about investors as much as he cares about those who have no capital to invest. His proposed tax policies amount to wealth redistribution, which leads me to believe this is what he meant by what he said.
