In the film IMMORTALS why did zeus killed ares?

why did zeus killed ares after saving theseus? But he didn't kill poseidon for saving theseus. . I still don't get it.
 
Well Poseidon just lucked out. Also when Ares interwined Zeus has had enough because it was the second time the Gods have helped mortals.
