in the judaism are there movements that say they are the true judaism?

for example.. is there a way of judaism that says they are oldest way from romans, well according to the nt there were two sects and the pharisees seem to be the orthodox for me.. I am not sure if my question is very well explained? is there any way of judaism that claims to be from the time of jesus or romans or greeks?
