In the phone settings, what is the 'system select' on the LG Chocolate Touch?

In the LG Chocolate Touch, in the phone settings there's a tab that says "System Select"
And there's 3 options to choose from:
-Home Only
-Automatic A
-Automatic B

I couldn't find much information in the booklet itself. I'm just wondering what it's for and what's the importance of it.
