I am having a problem with my Powermac G4. It will not boot any OS. I have tried installing OS X and OS 9 and nothing works. I believe the firmware is messed up. How do I install the firmware update without booting from the CD-Rom because it will not let you do it booting with the CD.
FYI- I put ubuntu on it does ubuntu mess with the firmware?
I have the firmware update ready on a CD and Memory stick but it says on Apples website you cant install the firmware booting up from a CD it needs to have a writable volume.
