Installing linux on a primary partition.?

hi i want to install graphical ubuntu 11.04 on a primary partition. previously windows was installed on it. is it easy to format primary partition to install ubuntu on it. my extended partition contains music files. can i install ubuntu on primary part. easily.
 
Yes. The Linux install comes with a GUI partition manager which is pretty straight forward.
