Right, so i just got a laptop from a friend he didnt need it and it was broken, so ive fixed it all up and installed a new copy of windows. I tried the factory os, windows vista but it runs slow and lagish etc, the wireless wasnt working on there either by the way. Its now on gold old windwos xp.Everything rns fine, apart from this damn wifi card! Sometimes i will start it up and it will be connected, then it will drop out after five minutes, sometimes it just doesnt find anything at all. I'm sat like a meter away from the router. Wifi swich is on wifis enabled etc. What can i do to get this stupid thing working? I have the ethernet plugged in for the moment. thanks in advance!
