Can anybody give me some interesting facts about the country Iceland? :)

It has the most difficult language in the world to learn.

They owe Great Britain millions (if not billions) of pounds.

It costs a fortune to buy anything.
 
Iceland is on a constructive plate boundary (two tectonic plates pulling apart). the pulling apart of the plates cause magma to rise creating volcanoes. essentially iceland is just one big Volcano.
 
its got an active volcano which causes chaos to air travel due to large ash clouds it emits every year
the Iceland government billions of pounds to the British government because one of its banks defaulted on its customers (many British customers)
 
It is a nuclear free zone.
Subterranean hot water heats 85% of Icelands homes.
Population c 300,000.
Exports fish and fish products,aluminium,diatomite.(perhaps volcanic ash) Joke.
Glacier icefields cover 13,000 sq km.
7 Administration districts.
One of the few places and the largest where the mid Atlantic ridge is not under the Atlantic ocean.
Small agricultural industry,hot house cultivation using thermal springs.
Tourism on the increase and an ever increasing part of the economy.
Very expensive beer.
