Interesting Topics/ Ideas Not Necessarily "Hot" Topics?

What are some ideas you have came across before that seem interesting? Literature? NOT The Bible, this is more for Atheists or Religious people who don't throw religion unto everything.

I was reading about over population and that lead me to transhumanism. What are some intresting concepts you know/think about.
Yeah I heard of Quantuim physics but I don't get it lol
 
I have become interested in "Freeganism" since a close friend of mine got into it. She gets a lot of things for free or at minimal cost, and all because she says we live in such a wasteful society that you could live off of what others don't want anymore for free or next to nothing. It's actually fascinating to talk to her about it and she has me convinced to shop second hand on most things. (But i just can't bring myself to buy second hand underwear, EEWW)
 
Quantum physics actually belongs to the world of science, but it seems to compliment the world of religion. For those who don't get it, don't worry neither does anyone else! It's all about what everything is made from, we used to think the smallest indivisible part was an atom, so for example if you kept cutting a piece of paper to the point where it could be cut no more, you had the essence of matter. But then we found that we can cut atoms! Then we opened up a weird world where all the laws of normal physics disappear, and to cut a long story short, things that are impossible in the normal world happen in the world of quantum physics, and it turns out we're made out of particles that ummm don't exist!
It also seems that the only reason we do exist is because something (which can not exist) thought us into being. Now this ain't religion...this is science!
 
Quantum Physics <-- the stuff they talk about Universal Law, Everything is one, Matter and the question of "What is Consciousness" and "What is reality" and how the universe forms... and those sort of philosophical stuff.

Search it up on youtube, u'll find lots of nice documentaries.

Not saying it's true or false, I just found the study to be really interesting.
