Last month my wife noticed a interior water leak in her 1998 VW Jetta. We replaced the heater core last year, so I bypassed it to check, and the leak continues. I noticed when the A/C is running (which now all the time), water is not leaking from the drain hose. Has anyone had this problem or know if the drain hose can be reached without removing the dash? Thanks!

as far as fixing the drain tube that goes from the evaporator core housing to under the car goes it can in some cases be cleared out by blowing it out with air but in all reality you will just blow the crap blocking it back into the housing and not out of the car so id say take the steps required to get to the housing and remove the tube in a lot of cars it is easy because the tube connects to the bottom of the housing and thats it...... your best bet is to buy the book for the car and look at the heating and cooling chapter
