Internet and apps on the blackberry?

Hi, I recently baught a blackberry curve 8520 and put my sim only contract sim into it ,but my co tract is 300 minuites and unlimited texts , and I want to be able to surf the Internet on it and use the apps eg windows live messenger, facebook etc.. , what can I do to be able to do this? Please help????
I don't need more minuites I'm happy with 300
Thanks , how do I add a BIS tho??????
