Internet Connection Problem: PLease Help!1?

I use Belkin PreN and use a linksys wireless usb thing to connect to the belkin. My connection says excellent and says everyhtings running yet my internet still goes on and off. My connection is always horrible on xbox live even tho it says I have a good connection. I don't understand this and is there any way to stop this??
 
It sounds like you might be having a conflict with someone else's wireless router. Do you live in an apartment building or a condo? Lots of other wireless networks on your street?

If so, you may need to log into your Belkin router and change the default channel that your wireless network is running on. If you've left it at the default (usually channel 6) it's very likely that someone else has also left theirs on the default and you're conflicting. I'd try moving it up to channel 11 just in case.
