Internet Explorer freezing when I try and type in a http adress-blank pop up then

crashes. 10 points available? Right... so a couple of weeks ago I had this problem where I couldn't open a website via the address bar (I typed an address in and pressed enter leading to a blank window popping up and the whole internet freezing - had to close down laptop and start again) so i used google as my homepage and used that

i then got my computer fixed - i don't know what they did but it worked and it took them very little time so I know they just played around with the settings or something.

Anyway a few weeks pass and then it starts up again... Anyone know how to fix this?

well I have vista, and whenever i have a problem with the internet I click "diagnose problems" It will tell me what to do, but other than that call those people who fixed it and ask them to show you step by step on how to fix it, tell them that it is acting up again
