Internet slowed down A LOT?

About 2 weeks ago my computer used to get at least 1k kbps and now it only gets about 550 kbps max. I have about 4 computer hooked onto a router and modem, but our connection used to be at least over 900+ for all computers. I can't play on my xbox 360 LIVE without lagging really bad. I have called my ISP (Sbc yahoo DSL AT&T) and they said my wireless is too weak. I'm thinking they're doing it on purpose because it used to work fine? They said they have to cut my max kbps to 700 because of the weak connection? It's only been 2 weeks since I had 1k kbps =/
