Ok, so I have on parakeet. I have had him about 2 weeks and now we are bonded. I am going to get him a friend ( a boy). I just wanted to know, how do I introduce them?
 
First of all you need to quarantine the new bird before allowing it to go to the same cage as with your current bird quarantine it at least 3 weeks this will give the new bird enough time to adjust with new air and surrounding in your place and also avoid any transmital of desease just in case the new bird has any. Also consider that once you add a new bird your old bird may be more likely be more bonded with new bird since they are of both species but if you can put a lot of effort and time playing with them it may not happen but at least try to expect that change with your birds bonding with you.
