I used to have 3 boy guinea pigs (all brothers), but unfortunately a few weeks ago one had to be put down because he got very sick (it wasn't contagious at all, the vet said).
Since he died I've been thinking about adopting another boy guinea pig since I have enough space and would like to give a piggy, who isn't as lucky, a home =] so, kind of in memory of the one who died.
I don't think they're neutered (but apparently that doesn't affect anything apart from preventing babies =D) and they don't seem very territorial.
I've done some research but I haven't been able to find anything about introducing one male to two males.
They're about 5 years old. Would it be better to get a younger piggy or one the same age? Any tips on introducing appreciated
tnx.
another reason is because the two piggies are acting very quiet and seem more lonely and aren't as playful without him.
RIP Percy...
