I got a new dog recently, Buster, who is approx. a year & a half. He is a boxer mixed with a bulldog. Such a sweet dog, loves people, no problem with other dogs, but constantly wants to chase my cats. My cats on the other hand, 2 female Russian Blues, Lily & Gianna, HATE him. If he even looks their way they do that low growling/hissing thing. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem, & how they fixed it if they did.
Buster has made a lot of progress so far - we've been keeping him on a leash at all times for training purposes & he pays less attention now to them, but occasionally when we bring him into the house he'll start looking for them.
Please, any ideas or personal experience would really be helpful. We want them to live at least civil.
Also, once Buster has gotten lose and chased the cat - relentlessly. Does this affect introducing them again?
