My husband and I brought an eleven month old female cat(recently spayed still has stitches, not de-clawed but has kitty caps aka soft claws on front feet) on wednesday and we have introduced her to our 4yr old male cat. Here is what has happened so far: The male cat hissed growled wouldn't look at the female kitten but never tried to attack her. As of yesterday (Sunday) the male cat ( neutered over 3 and a half years ago and de-clawed, which was done before we got him) is very accepting wanting to go up and smell the female kitten lay next to the female kitten and has stopped all aggression toward the female kitten BUT now the female kitten is hissing at the male cat and has lunged at the male cat (we have intervened so nothing serious happens)
Any serious suggestions on how to get the kitten to stop being aggressive to the male cat would be greatly appreciated
The Male cat is no longer aggressive when the female kitten hisses he just walks away so duking it out wont happen cause the male cat will not fight.
