The 10 gallon tank is not a proper setup for one rat. Rats can get upper respiratory infections so easily that they should not be stored in any type of aquarium. Instead, go out and buy a specialized rat cage. Sometimes you can find them cheap on craigslist. 1- Rats are very social animals, and love to have company. I would suggest getting both males nuetered before introducing. More than likely they will fight. 2- No, a 10 gallon aquarium is not acceptable for any rat. 3- This depends on the temperment of both rats, but i would suggest trying to adopt before you buy. If you would like to know how to bond two rats, email me. 4- No, his behavior will not change, he will be happier with a cage mate. 5- I have never had a rat get jealous of me holding one and not the other. Eventually, once they are both tame they will both sit on your shoulder and you wont have this problem. 6- As long as you spend time with your rats, they will be tame.
