I didn’t know how the weather could relate to my life. It never seemed possible. The clouds that surrounded my cold soul showed the darkness and fear in my life. Its gloominess played a perfect role. Those small water droplets falling from the sky showed the tears that I wanted to cry. The emptiness in my life was just like the cold. Hollow, with no feeling. Coldness walks around leaving a trail of chills behind. I guess those chills represented my pain.
The intercom came on –beeping loudly- calming my pressured thoughts.
‘Passengers, in about five minutes we will be landing in Boone, North Carolina. The Local time is 4:16pm. There is a current temperature of 24 degrees Celsius...’
The Pilot blabbed on about seatbelts and more of the weather until he finished with...
‘Thank you for flying with Web Airlines, hope you join us again’
I exhale before looking at the woman seated next to me. My mother. My Guardian from Birth. Her peaceful body sat there with her eyes closed. You wouldn’t have known that she was in her late thirties to forties. Her appearance made her not even look thirty. It was like she never aged.
My mother looks a bit like me well she did before I changed; she had a clean, heart-shaped face with soft brown eyes, slim and not too tall. Her black hair was twisted up into a ponytail; she was tan skinned and had a welcoming smile. I glanced over at her while she was talking to my father; I took in her plain jeans and t-shirt. She loved that t-shirt and wore it almost everywhere.
She hated flying that would feasibly be why she was sleeping or at least pretending to. She always said ‘The air is only for birds, humans can’t fly, I don’t know why people even try.’ Flying never made sense to my mother even though she was a teacher.
Does that sound okay? (It's part of the first chapter...)
Please give me your honest opinions... People keep telling me to write... because Im good... but Im finding it hard to believe :'(
Thanks in Advance
