I'm considering taking an AS / A-Level physics course (probably as a distance learner), although it's been many years since I did physics GCSE at school. So I'd really like to get hold of some good books that could serve as a good re-introduction to physics - preferably engaging & interesting, but not anything that demands a large degree of prior knowledge (like the syllabi books for students). Can anyone recommend any authors/books? Thanks in advance!
I also wondered whether it would be worth taking AS maths alongside it... and whether anyone could recommend any refresher books for this? I'd probably be ok with a good student textbook for maths, but a general intro into the theory would be great.
