Invincible work phone from telus?

My dad used to have this phone from telus (He now has a new iphone with a case on top of a case on top of a case) and apparently according to my dads company it costed 700 dollars they had to special order it my dad has dropped it in water several times and on concrete countless times and it has never failed him, and it always got reception where most other phones don't. What do you think of this?
Not his company, the company he works at I mean.
 
Verizon currently has the Boulder and the Convoy which are similar "hard case" phones. I coordinate the cell phones for our workers, and have gotten a couple of those for our folks who kept dropping their phones or getting them wet. They are great.
