iPad 2 and iPhone 4s downloading apps?

So I got an iPad 2 for my birthday and my iTunes account is on there including on my iPhone 4s and every time I download an app either on my iPad 2 or iPhone 4s they go on both. Is there a way to fix that? Really annoying!

You could make a different account for your iPad. Though that's not the best because then you would have to pay for money for both of the accounts...
I'm not sure really sorry, this answer is pretty useless but you could try googling it?
