iPhone bluetooth question ...?

whenever my bluetooth is on on my iphone it always says it is searching for devices but it doesnt ever find any and my friends razr and blackjack said it found my iPhone but it needs a passcode and it says there is no service or something like that for the Bluetooth.
please help me?!
