iphone help needed, where can i get the older restore ispw files.?

Hi Guys, can anyone advise where i can get older firmware versians to use in restore with itunes. I do not have previous ones. the ones that i have found itunes does not recognise as it is is not a ispw format. can anyone tell me where i can get it from.

Also is there a software that you recommend which unlocks and activates the phone.
