ipod trouble with head phone hole?

it only plays one headphone side no matter if thee headphones are brand new, im positive its not a setting maybe its damaged or something- im talking about the hole where you put the headphones in

Maybe theres a place i can take it,i live in michigan and i dont have insurance it was my friends and customer service wont help =/

Okay well that happens a lot with ipods. Basicly all you have to do is open up your ipod with a tool that can split it. Now BE VERY CAREFUL. when you lift up the chrome backing from the screen side. you will see a ribbone connected to the headphone jack. Just unplug that and plug it in CORRECTLY all the way and it should work. Watch youtube videos on how to open ipods.
