is a bittorrent good to download songs?

I want to use it download songs, like every song when i type in the artist, because i have heard from a friend that it does that. If so, what's the best bittorrent?
and how exactly does it work? like how do i add it to my itunes so i can put it on my ipod

Torrents work best when downloading whole albums. Of course you can download one song at a time, but that's better left to Limewire or something else of that sort mainly because you have to have a converter for bittorrents.

Well, downloading songs is of course illegal.

But, in general, bittorrent is a good place to download any kind of file if you can find a torrent site that hosts torrents to the types of files you are looking for.
