I'm not well versed in car parts and would appreciate your advisement if you know:
My (nice but high maintenance argh!!!) car was diagnosed and repaired at an independent shop for "breather hoses leaking". I checked the Alldata website and just realized that there was a campaign recall on my car for "Repair engine vent hoses" (called dealer to confirm). The car manufacturer will repair for free at the dealership or reimburse customers who had already repaired the part themselves. I will be going to the dealer next week to work on a different recall issue, but am wondering if breather and vent hose are exchangeable terminology so that I don't have the repair person at the dealer work on this issue. I paid over $500 to get the hose leak repair and would like to submit for reimbursement so that I can work on the other check engine light issues.
