Leaders and pundits say that people should be trained for jobs of the future involving computers and advanced technology. I asked whether or not farming would make a comeback now that vast amounts of land will probably become vacant thanks to the economic crisis. Someone said no, jobs will be found in the technology sector, and people shouldn't worry about that.
UMMMM, how are we going to eat if there is no farming? I also love how everyone wants to be a doctor or lawyer nowadays, and not an actual worker that produces something. It seems Americans have been screwed out of real jobs for so long that they've forgotten what industries really power an economy?
Will this line of thinking change?
