Better is an opinion, but safe depends on your habits and knowledge. For downloading with torrents and frostwire (not sure what bearshare is), don't download things with no seeders and a ton of leechers, that's generally a sign of a virus or just a bad torrent. In addition to doing this, you should have a good antivirus. I prefer Nod32, but there are many free alternatives.
